Cinque Terre (meaning Five Lands) is a coastal area on the rugged Italian Riviera in the Liguria Region of northwest Italy. It comprises five villages, their colourful houses stacked down the sides of ravines and on top of cliffs, and is part of the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
